Things to do

There are several clubs and groups in the parish. Whether your ‘thing’ is sport, leisure, chatting, gardening or reading there is a group who will welcome you. There are a lot of events throughout the year ranging from music festivals, fetes, open gardens, seasonal occasions (Easter Egg hunts and Bonfire Nights), singalongs – the list goes on – and this is the section to learn all about them.

THE BOOK CLUB: meets on the second Wednesday of the month at Rita Marks’ home. A book is chosen to be read which may or may not be enjoyed – the reason for either opinion is then discussed, over a cup of tea.

THE MILLENNIUM GREEN is a lovely area and in order to maintain it for generations to come volunteers are always welcomed. There are several reasons for volunteering: making friends, doing something worthwhile, being amongst nature, wanting to help people, broaden skills and knowledge generally or to add to a CV. You don’t particularly need ‘green fingers’ or huge amounts of time but a little done by a lot really makes a huge difference.
